Callout: No 78 of 2017.
During our weekly training session last night we were contacted by South Wales Police : Heddlu De Cymru to help search for two 13 year old females who’d phoned for help after become lost whilst out for a walk between the Vaynor and Pontsticill areas, north of Merthyr Tydfil.
Using Sarloc Rescue , the local knowledge of our Incident Controllers and local residents and the help of the Rights of Way Oficer of Merthyr Tydfil CBC, we dispatched one of our first response vehicles to an area of farmland we thought they’d be in. As we headed to that area, police called to say the girls had been located safe and sound. They had been in the area into which we were heading.
We returned to continue our training.
