Callout 131/2017: Despite the current difficult situation our priority remains providing a response to calls for help when needed.
Yesterday evening we were contacted by South Wales Police : Heddlu De Cymru with regards to a high risk missing person in the Rhondda area.
Fortunately, on this occasion we were able to assist by endeavouring to locate the missing person using the Sarloc Rescue system and the team weren’t required to deploy on the ground.
With support from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter from St Athan that also undertook an aerial search of the area.
Can we also take this opportunity to reiterate our appreciation to everyone for their ongoing support and generosity following the fire that has devastated our base, vehicles and equipment.
