Central Beacons were called to assist colleagues from Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team to assist with the rescue of an injured mountain biker who has fallen and sustained head and facial injuries. Together with colleagues from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team we arrived at the Mountain Bike Centre to use a 4×4 to reach the casualty site. Following assessments by Paramedics it was decided to evacuate the casualty using a 4×4 from South Wales Police and that Mountain Rescue could be stood down.
