Training and Callouts:
Today we’ve had another of those long, busy days.
Our monthly training day was based on mini workshop scenarios focusing on medical treatments in testing environments simulating injuries of broken limbs, pelvis’s and spines. As we were packing up from training late in the afternoon we received a request from Gwent Police to rescue 2 stranded young females on steep hillside above Cwmcarn near Newport. Using Sarloc Rescue technology to find their position, rope access was needed to quickly secure both ladies, a rapid medical assessment by our paramedic confirmed they were ok to be carefully escorted off the hill.
After which was back to base to clean and repack all kit and then eventually a return to our homes.
A long busy day.
