Callout: No 113 of 2017 was a short one.
Just before 4pm today team members were assembling at base following a request from Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to assist a hillwalker who’d slipped and injured their leg in the Fan y Big area of the Brecon Beacons.
One of our team leaders was then able to speak with members of the party to establish their position, during which they confirmed they had managed to assist their injured colleague and walk themselves off the hill to safety, so no longer needing Mountain Rescue support we stood down, with most team members returning to work.
