Just before 5pm today we were called out by Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to rescue a lady hillwalker who’d slipped on the mountain above Torpantau, Brecon Beacons, sustaining an ankle injury and unable to walk.
With grateful thanks to two passers by who stopped in very wet weather to provide shelter until we arrived, and working with our colleagues from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Longtown Mountain Rescue Team we administered pain relief, immobilisation, stretchered her off the hill and then to hospital.
Our best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.
