No’s 110 & 111 of 2017.
We’ve been called out twice in the last two nights (26/09, 27/09) both times working with our Brecon Mountain Rescue Team colleagues and both times for hillwalkers who’d become benighted by the early evening darkness in the Pen Y Fan area.
Both searches involved us deploying hill parties in the Neuadd valley while our Brecon colleagues deployed from the north.
Working also with Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police, on both occasions our missing people …were located safe & well at the border of our respective areas, showing how our joint working effectively supports our search results.
As you can see from the photo quality, the weather during both nights has been a little challenging for different reasons!
As the autumn evening’s continue to close in, we’d urge anyone heading out on the hills to take the appropriate equipment, including that “just in case” torch !
