CALLOUT 97/17: In the early hours of this morning, the team was contacted by our colleagues Western Beacons MSRT to provide assistance with an urgent search for South Wales Police : Heddlu De Cymru in relation to concerns for a person reported missing in the Neath Valley.
Alongside search teams from WBMSRT, SWP, the NPAS helicopter and in conjunction with 4 legged friends from SARDA South Wales (that’s the dogs not the handlers); a number of different search areas were tasked.
As day light broke, with nothing found, Mountain Rescue resources were stood down pending further police enquiries. Team members headed off home to maybe catch up on some sleep just as their families woke up for the day.
