Callout: Number 76 of 2017
On Saturday evening we were called by our colleagues at Longtown Mountain Rescue Team to assist with the rescue of a gentleman who’d fallen off his bike on mountainside above Varteg, near Blaenavon.
Prior to our arrival on scene Longtown Team medics had treated and immobilised the gent’s lower leg injury and we assisted with the stretcher carry off the hill to a road ambulance.
Our best wishes to him for a full and speedy recovery.
