Just after 4.00pm this afternoon we were called by our colleagues at Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team to assist the rescue of a young male hill walker suffering severe abdominal pains on the mountainside near Llyn Y Fan Fach area.
Responding with colleagues from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, Dyfed Powys Police
and Maritime and Coastguard Agency R106 rescue helicopter from Portland, the young man was winched aboard and flown to Prince Charles Hospital Merthyr Tydfil.
Another piece of terrific inter-agency working. Our best wishes to the young man for a full and speedy recovery.
