Callout: Just after lunch this afternoon we were called by Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team to assist in the rescue of a young male with back injuries near Scwd Gwladus waterfall, Pontneddfechan.
Working with our colleagues from WBMSRT, Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust HART and Dyfed Powys Police we transported him away from the waterfall once he’d been treated by paramedics. Once at the roadside an ambulance took him to hospital for further assessment.
As this was happening, a second casualty was located who had sustained a deep cut to his hand. He was also treated on scene and he walked back to our control point before he headed off to hospital.
