CALLOUT: called by Dyfed Powys Police to assist a male reportedly unconscious. Working with Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team, we quickly established the gentleman’s location, met up with his group and walked them off. Turned out a lack of breakfast, an early start and a strenuous walk up the hill had gotten the better of him. Lesson learnt and obviously grateful for the response from mountain Rescue. Also of note is the heroic help from the staff of The Red Cow Inn for helping us out with milk for the control vehicle. Always important that the returning hill troops have a hot drink awaiting their return.
