Central Beacons were contacred by both Gwent Police and Dyfed Powys Police regarding a 999 call received to help a group of walkers who’d became lost in low cloud and drizzle on the Brecon Beacons. We enlisted the help of our colleagues at Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and began a joint search from all sides of Pen Y Fan and the Neuadd valley. One of our 4×4 vehicles located the group safe, sound yet cold and wet in one of the lanes in the Neuadd valley area, from where we transported them to their car at Storey Arms car park.
