Central Beacons were called by colleagues in South Wales Police to search for a missing group of 26 people in Tafon Yr Garig, not far from Dan Yr Ogof Showcaves in South Wales. Due to the scale and the nature of the call Central Beacons called in additional resources of colleagues from Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team, Longtown Mountain Rescue Team, Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, Coast Guard Helicopter and the Welsh Ambulance Service to successfully locate the missing group. All 26 were taken to hospital for check up’s and were discharged later that day.
